Ian’s advancement reflects both his deep industry experience and his dedication to advisor support and compliance excellence.
Buxbaum joined IFG in 2021 as a Supervisory Principal. Prior to joining IFG, he held roles in direct banking at ING Direct and Capital One, worked in brokerage operations at Capital One Investing, and later served at Commonwealth Financial Network. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in history from the University of Delaware, along with Series 7, 24, 52, 53, and 66 licenses.
As Director of Supervision, Buxbaum will continue building on IFG’s commitment to a proactive and advisor-focused supervisory framework. His goal is to foster strong, collaborative relationships that empower advisors to serve their clients effectively and grow their businesses, while staying aligned with both regulatory standards and IFG’s high expectations for compliance.
